European Leaders Condemn US Action as ‘Coercion’
European leaders such as Emmanuel Macron accused Washington of “bullying and threats”, after the travel bans were placed on individuals that were central to campaigns to enact laws governing US-based technology firms.
“For too long, European activists have led organised efforts to coerce American platforms to suppress US perspectives they disagree with,” stated the US secretary of state online. “This government will no longer tolerate these egregious acts of censorship beyond its borders.”
